Just two days after suggesting the Pickett could be limited in practice with an ankle injury, the Steelers listed their quarterback as a full participant in Wednesday’s practice. He should have little limitations in his performance this weekend against the Cardinals.

Fitzpatrick hasn’t played since Week 8, so getting him back on the practice field in full is great news for the Steelers. His return will be a boost for the secondary before they take on Kyler Murray, Marquise Brown, and the Cardinals offense.

This news came from The Athletic’s Mark Kaboly, who wrote, “Kenny Pickett has an ankle injury that may limit him early in the week.” Whatever injury he’s dealing with, it wasn’t enough to force him to miss any time against the Bengals in Week 12. Any potential load management shouldn’t stop Pickett from suiting up in Week 13 when the Steelers play host to the Cardinals. Even in a week that includes six teams on bye, Pickett will be hard to trust outside of 2QB/superflex leagues.

Pat Freiermuth caught 9-of-11 targets for 120 yards in the Steelers’ Week 12 win over the Bengals.

Freiermuth’s first two receptions were gains of 20-plus yards, setting the tone for what would be a big afternoon for the third-year tight end. His 11 targets led all Steelers pass catchers, while his 120 yards were more than double the next closest player. An injury-riddled season has limited Freiermuth all year long, but that was no excuse for the 9/60 he totaled through his first five games. The dismissal of former offensive coordinator Matt Canada may have been what led to more involvement for Freiermuth, who gets a generous matchup next week against the Cardinals. He’ll be on the streaming radar for Week 13 with six teams on bye.

George Pickens caught 3-of-5 targets for 58 yards in the Steelers’ Week 12 win over the Bengals.

A 43-yard reception by Pickens late in the day is all that stood between him and an abysmal receiving line. In true Pickens fashion, the second-year receiver gained a slight step on his defender in the fourth quarter and had just enough of an extension to secure the long catch. The Steelers weren’t much better in their first game without offensive coordinator Matt Canada, managing just one touchdown on the day while hammering in three field goals. Pickens will be on the WR3 radar in Week 13 against the Cardinals.

Diontae Johnson caught 4-of-8 targets for 50 yards in the Steelers’ Week 12 win over the Bengals.

Johnson saw a potential touchdown knocked loose in the first quarter on a play that NFL rules analyst Gene Steratore said would likely be overturned if reviewed. Unfortunately, the call on the field was an incomplete pass, and head coach Mike Tomlin didn’t bother to throw the red flag, letting the call stand. It was an uneven day for Johnson, who saw 39 of his 50 yards come on a deep pass early in the second quarter. Several missed throws by Kenny Pickett didn’t help, as Johnson was frustrated by his quarterback and the Bengals defense all afternoon. He’ll look to bounce back in Week 13 against the Cardinals.

Jaylen Warren rushed 13 times for 49 yards in the Steelers’ Week 12 win over the Bengals, adding three receptions for 13 additional yards.

Warren out-touched Harris 16 to 15 on the day, but things remained status quo in Pittsburgh’s backfield despite the departure of Matt Canada. Najee Harris’ effective day on the ground (15/99/1) will keep him well in the mix next week when the Steelers take on the Cardinals, but Warren’s usage will also keep him in the RB2 conversation for Week 13. A three-week stretch of 100-plus yards come to an end for Warren, but his receiving upside continues to pad his fantasy floor.

Najee Harris rushed 15 times for 99 yards and one touchdown in the Steelers’ Week 12 win over the Bengals.

Any reports of Jaylen Warren seeing more run under new offensive coordinator Eddie Faulkner were quickly debunked on Sunday. Harris was the first running back to take the field for the Steelers on Sunday and was leaned on late in the game to close things out. His 15 opportunities were only one fewer than Warren, as this backfield continues to be split down the middle. The veteran running back turned in a solid effort, breaking off several big gains while also finding the end zone on a five-yard touchdown in the third quarter. Harris will be on the RB2 radar in Week 13 when the Steelers host the Cardinals.

Kenny Pickett completed 24-of-33 passes for 278 scoreless yards in the Steelers’ 16-10, Week 12 win over the Bengals.

Pickett missed out on a touchdown pass to Diontae Johnson early in the first quarter on a play that likely would have been overturned had the Steelers opted to challenge it. Johnson failed to secure the end zone target to the ground, but NFL rules analyst Gene Steratore said after the play that it likely would have been overturned upon review. Pickett secured the ball and limited sacks all afternoon but also missed several open receivers while pulling off the occasional big play. It wasn’t a pretty win, but the Steelers are now 7-4 heading into Week 13 against the Cardinals. Pickett is off the fantasy radar next week despite the good matchup.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports the Steelers will get the ball in the hands of Jaylen Warren and George Pickens more often after firing offensive coordinator Matt Canada.

Rapoport referred to the two players as stars and said to focus on the “players more than the plays” that will change after Canada’s firing. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler had a similar take on the situation earlier in the week. If there was ever a time to flip Najee Harris and Warren in the fantasy rankings, it would be now. Warren has proven to be far more explosive than his plodding counterpart this year, resulting in a near-even split of the carries in recent weeks. Warren will rank as an RB2 for Week 12 with Harris tumbling into the RB3 range.

The Steelers enter Sunday’s matchup against the Bengals at near full strength. A “new-look” offense under new offensive coordinator Eddie Faulkner is expected to feature more looks for Jaylen Warren and George Pickens, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Warren’s usage will be one to watch, especially after a hot three-week stretch that’s included 368 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns.
