Saquon Barkley rushed 18 times for 46 yards and two touchdowns in the Giants’ Week 18 win over the Eagles, adding two receptions for an additional 51 yards.

It was an up-and-down season for Barkely playing on a Giants’ bottom-three offense in terms of yards per game. Still, to end the fantasy season (through Week 17) he was able to finish as RB11 on a points per game basis. Between Weeks 3 and 5 this season, Barkley missed three games with an ankle injury then proceeded to average 97 rushing yards per game in his first four games after returning. Overall though and based on his exceptional 2022 season (1,650 yards from scrimmage and 10 touchdowns), he regressed from a statistical standpoint. The question now will be whether or not he continues his career with the Giants. The team can once again put the franchise tag on him, but with it being $12.1 million, it could finally be too rich for the Giants in their current state. Barkley should be considered a top-12 running back in fantasy regardless of landing spot, but if he’s able to get on a playoff contender, things could trend up for him rather quickly. He ends his 2023 season with 247 carries, 962 yards and six touchdowns while catching 41 passes for 280 yards and another four touchdowns. Jan 07 7:46 pm (EST)
