Commanders released TE Logan Thomas.

Just hours after the Commanders cut ties with left tackle Charles Leno, Logan Thomas became the latest Commander to get let go. Thomas caught 55 passes for 496 yards and four touchdowns over 16 games and posted a line of 184-1685-14 in four seasons with the team. His 2020 breakout (72-670-6) came in his first season as a full-time starter, as the former quarterback turned tight end enjoyed a bit of a career renaissance after switching positions. A torn ACL limited to Thomas to just six games in 2021, but he’s played in 30 of a possible 34 regular season games since 2022. Thomas will be 33 at the start of next season and could still offer value as roster depth. His release will save the Commanders $6.5 million against the cap. 4:04 pm (EST)
