Active BYE Week: 11 QB
Indianapolis Colts

Gardner Minshew completed 13-of-24 passes for 141 scoreless yards in the Colts’ 23-19, Week 18 loss to the Texans.

Minshew struggled for much of the evening, failing to hit 150 yards on the day while completing only 54.2 percent of his passes. The Colts’ QB1 came up short late, as he and running back Tyler Goodson were unable to connect on a fourth down pass to keep a potential game-winning drive alive, but we can’t overlook what Minshew provided the Colts for much of the season. The Colts exit 2023 with a 9-8 record, thanks in large to Minshew’s effort. While he was far from perfect, Minshew was initially signed as a mentor to rookie Anthony Richardson but was forced into a permanent starting role after Richardson suffered a season-ending shoulder injury. Minshew threw for 3205-15-9 on the season and cemented himself as one of the better backup quarterbacks in the league. He’s set to hit free agency this spring but could very well end up back in Indy. His familiarity with Shane Steichen’s offense and ability to lead a team to victory any given week will make him a coveted player on the open market. Jan 06 11:36 pm (EST)
