Nikola Jokic contributed 41 points to go with 11 rebounds, four assists and a pair of three-pointers.

Jokic was monstrous on the offensive end in this one, hitting 16-of-28 shots and 7-of-8 free throws to deliver his third 40-point effort of the 2023 postseason. Denverâ??s other four starters combined for 41 points on 15-of-34 shooting, and Jokic understandably focused his energy on scoring with so many teammates struggling. The four assists are his fewest of the postseason, and they match his second-fewest of the regular season. Jokic has been masterful for the entirety of the Nuggetsâ?? playoff run and, despite the loss, he was the best player on the court again Sunday. The Nuggets suffered their first home loss of the playoffs, but Jokic will look to guide his team to a road win Wednesday in Miami for Game 3.

B. Adebayo - C

Bam Adebayo accumulated 21 points on 8-of-14 shooting Sunday in a win over Denver, adding nine rebounds, four assists and two blocked shots.

As expected, Bam got the job done in the paint, and he was even more efficient than the 13-of-25 shooting night he had in Game 1 when he scored 26. Bam finished behind only Gabe Vincent (23 points, four triples) for team lead in scoring, and through two games, Adebayo is the teamâ??s leader in points. Jimmy Butler has struggled on offense, racking up 34 points on 33 field goals, but the difference between Game 1 and Game 2 was Max Strus and Duncan Robinson hitting shots, and Miamiâ??s bench playing a bit more consistently throughout the contest. Adebayo has had his way with Denver in the series thus far, and thereâ??s no indication heâ??ll slow down in Game 3 back in South Beach.

Kevin Love scored six points Sunday and added 10 rebounds, an assist, two steals and two triples as the Heat defeated the Nuggets 111-108.

Love was a DNP-CD in each of Miamiâ??s last three games, but with Caleb Martin dealing with a non-COVID illness (yet still able to play), the former landed in the starting lineup Sunday. Love logged 22 minutes, his most since playing 23 in Game 4 of the second-round series against the Knicks, and turned them into quality production. Itâ??s unclear what his role will be Wednesday in Game 3, but Coach Spo should give him a long look when considering his rotations for the rest of the Finals.

Gabe Vincent finished Sundayâ??s win over Denver with 23 points, three assists, two steals and four triples.

Through two games of the NBA Finals, Miamiâ??s leading scorers areâ?¦ checks notes â?¦ Bam Adebayo and Gabe Vincent. If you laid some money down on Bam and Vincent futures, itâ??s time to start playing the lottery! Vincent was blisteringly hot in this one, leading his team in the scoring department and stroking it from downtown yet again. The UC Santa Barbara product has 42 points on 15-of-26 shooting, including a mind-melting 9-of-16 from beyond the arc through Games 1-2, and heâ??ll look to keep up the hot shooting in front of his home crowd when the series shifts to Miami for Game 3 on Wednesday.

Duncan Robinson totaled 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting (2-of-3 3-Pointers) and added an assist across 17 minutes in Sundayâ??s win over Denver.

Robinson wasnâ??t on the court too much in this one, but he certainly made the most of his minutes. D-Rob started the fourth quarter, and to the untrained eye, it appeared Reggie Miller was out there wearing his jersey due to the speed of his scoring. Robinson racked up all 10 of his points in the first 2:16 of the quarter, acting as the catalyst for a 13-2 Miami run to take an 88-85 lead. Robinson and Miamiâ??s other role players came to play after dreadful showings in Game 1, and theyâ??ll look to carry that momentum into Wednesdayâ??s Game 3 at home.

The Heat will start Kevin Love over Caleb Martin in Game 2 against the Nuggets in Sunday, according to NBA TV's Jared Greenberg.

Martin was listed as questionable due to an illness, but this isn't because of that. Aaron Gordon toasted the Heat in the first quarter of Game 1, so Miami will attempt to counter with more size down low. Gordon's speed could still prove to be too much for Love to handle, but at least he shouldn't get as many wide open dunks.

Cody Zeller (sprained right foot) will play in Game 2 against Denver on Sunday.

Zeller played a small role in Game 1, and he'll likely be used in a similar fashion in Game 2. He's a different look to throw at Nikola Jokic, but he isn't necessarily an effective option.

Caleb Martin (illness) and Cody Zeller (right foot sprain) are both available for Game 2 of the NBA Finals against Denver on Sunday.

Martin shined in the Eastern Conference Finals, but he really struggled in Game 1 against Denver. This illness may have bothered him during that game, so hopefully he'll be more productive in Game 2. He should continue to start for them alongside Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo in the frontcourt. Zeller only played eight minutes off the bench in Game 1, so he likely won't use him much, aside from trying to throw a different look at Nikola Jokic, even if it wasn't very effective.
