Tuesday has one of those WNBA DFS slates where I think the players I’m fading are nearly as  interesting as the ones I’m playing. So, let’s briefly run through some of the highlights before you build those WNBA daily fantasy lineups. By the way, you can build WNBA DFS lineups on DraftKings and FanDuel tonight with the slate starting at 7 pm ET. Candace Parker’s teammates stepped up in a big way in her absence (with the exception of Emma Meesseman) and as a result, I think they are overpriced Tuesday against Dallas. Arike Ogunbowale is probably due to an ankle injury and that, along with Parker’s return, is enough to scare me away from her. Ogunbowale’s teammate Teara McCowan is on a tear right now but she scored 35.75 fantasy points combined in back-to-back games against Chicago just a couple of weeks ago, so I am staying away. Meanwhile, Elena Delle Donne is playing her third game in four days. While I wouldn’t like many players in that situation, I think it is awful for her considering how Washington has managed her minutes all season. Clearly at least one of those players is going to have a big game despite my reservations but I see no reason to take a risk with them in such a deep WNBA DFS slate. Now, let's take a look at the WNBA DFS top plays.

WNBA DFS Top Guards

Skylar Diggins-SmithPHOCON1050038.67890038.80
Diggins-Smith remains the safest guard on the slate, and she isn't that much more expensive than the other premium guards. I would try to find the money to pay up for her, especially in cash games.
Sabrina IonescuNYLA1020038.47820036.20
The Sparks are 11th in fantasy points allowed to guards and Ionescu scored 37.8 fantasy points in her only game against them despite shooting 27.8 percent from the field. Ionescu has been much better at home this season, shooting 44.4 percent from the field and averaging 42.4 FPPG.
Chennedy CarterLANY540015.14400015.22
Carter has averaged 21.7 minutes and 22.5 fantasy points in her last three games. She looks like the best value guard on the slate so long as Lexie Brown and Kristi Toliver are out.
Jordin CanadaLANY720022.15600022.35
Canada has played at least 31 minutes in four of her last five games, scoring at least 24.5 fantasy points in each. With Kristi Toliver out and Lexie Brown questionable, Canada looks like one of the safest mid-priced guards on the slate.
Natasha CloudWASLV910028.68680027.63
Cloud has scored at least 30 fantasy points in four of her last five games despite not shooting better than 37.5 percent in any of them. She scored 38.5 fantasy points in her only game against Las Vegas this season and she looks like Washington's best fantasy play Tuesday.

WNBA DFS Top Forwards

Candace ParkerCHIDAL1070036.5840034.82
I am a bit scared that Parker will have some rust after missing two games with a non-COVID illness, but at least Sky head coach James Wade has said she won't be on a minutes restriction. Parker had scored 40+ fantasy points in three straight games prior to the illness, including against Dallas. I think Parker's teammates are overpriced based on how they performed when Parker was out, making Parker our best bet if you want to roster a Sky player.
Chiney OgwumikeLANY800018.12560017.81
I'm running out of excuses for Chiney Ogwumike after she scored just 17 fantasy points in 28 minutes Sunday. That being said, the 28 minutes are probably the more important part of that equation. Chiney has averaged 0.88 fantasy points per minute this season and if she continues to play 28ish minutes, she should be a nice value.
Nneka OgwumikeLANY1000034.32800034.69
If Ogwumike isn't the safest forward on the slate, she is awfully close. Nneka has at least 32 fantasy points in all four games she has played without Liz Cambage. In her only game against the Liberty, Ogwumike scored 33.5 fantasy points in 32.2 minutes.
Alyssa ThomasCONPHO1100035.62860035.01
I don't really understand why Thoms is averaging 15 more minutes per game than Jonquel Jones over the last 10 days, but there is no reason to think that will change with Connecticut clinging to third place in the standings. Thomas is averaging 47.3 fantasy points over that span, and she had 40 fantasy points in her only game against Phoenix this season.
Myisha Hines-AllenWASLV730019.36490018.95
Hines-Allen has been great against Las Vegas this season, averaging 34.4 fantasy points in 24.5 minutes even though Elena Delle Donne played in both games. Hines-Allen struggled Sunday in the second game of a back-to-back, but I expect her to bounce back.
Stefanie DolsonNYLA640018.54470018.34
I don't really trust her, but you won't do any better at her price. She has at least 20 fantasy points in four of her last five games despite playing Chicago (twice), Washington and Connecticut during that span.
