I have seen WNBA DFS slates that were difficult to figure out, but I don’t recall one individual game that was as difficult as Seattle at Washington figures to be. These two teams just played yesterday, and while neither of them had to travel, I don’t really want to invest in veteran players on the second day of a back-to-back. If we knew the starters would be rested or play fewer minutes, I would be quite interested in bench players like Ezi Magbegor or Myish Hines-Allen, but I don’t think we can count on that. Washington is one game behind Seattle for the fourth seed and while both teams could rest their veterans soon, it may not come Sunday. When you add in the fact that these are two of the best defensive teams in the league, I think I have to fade this game barring some injury news. But I don’t feel good about it. Let's dig in to Sunday's WNBA DFS slate with today's top picks and games to target.

Kahleah CopperCHICON800026.66###24.77
Copper has scored at least 30 fantasy points in three straight games and she has at least 35 fantasy points in all three games Candace Parker has missed. Copper hasn't been particularly efficient of late but she has made up for it with volume and rebounding, and that should continue for as long as Parker is out.
Destanni HendersonINDLV440011.51###11.14
Henderson played 23 minutes and scored 24.75 fantasy points Friday, and she should play at least that many minutes with Kelsey Mitchell out. Henderson would probably be a must-play if she starts but even off the bench, she is probably the best value play on Indiana.
Skylar Diggins-SmithPHONY####38.66###38.85
If you trust Diana Taurasi more than I do and you want to safe a few bucks, feel free to pivot. Diggins-Smith remains ridiculously safe and easy to afford on DK. She scored 35.8 fantasy points in her only game against New York despite shooting 2-12. If that is her floor, sign me up.
Courtney VanderslootCHICON780027.77###27.54
How many players from one game is too many? Vandersloot is coming off of arguably her best game of the season Friday, scoring 47 fantasy points in 37 minutes. In three games with Candace Parker out, Vandersloot is averaging 34 fantasy points.
Moriah JeffersonMINLA650023.58###22.96
Only Minnesota has allowed more fantasy points to guards than the Sparks, and Jefferson averaged 31.9 fantasy points in two games against Los Angeles. Perhaps more importantly, Jefferson just scored 27.25 fantasy points in 25 minutes against Atlanta Thursday. Jefferson isn't safe but she has just as much upside as some guards who cost $1500 more than she does.
DeWanna BonnerCONCHI890026.58###26.37
I'm not sure why Bonner has played such heavy minutes of late, but I expect it to continue for at least one more game. Bonner has at least 28.5 fantasy points in three straight games. If you want a safe guard that doesn't play for Phoenix, Bonner is your best bet.
Azura StevensCHICON630019.04###19.45
Stevens is averaging 23.3 FPPG in seven starts and 25.1 FPPG in three games with Candace Parker out. Connecticut may be the best defensive team in the league but Stevens is averaging 0.87 fantasy points per minute and she has a chance to play 30 minutes again with Parker out.
Emma MeessemanCHICON960029.42###30.52
Meesseman isn't nearly as safe as Stevens or Kahleah Copper, but she topped 40 fantasy points in three of her last six games as well as one of her two games against Connecticut. She has averaged 34.2 fantasy points with Candace Parker out, but I still think she's better for tournaments than for cash games.
Chiney OgwumikeLAMIN850018.16###17.88
Chiney Ogwumike was returning from a non-COVID illness in her last game, and I'm going to assume that is the reason she played just 21 minutes and scored just 13.25 fantasy points. With an additional two-days rest, I think she will return to her pre-illness form, when she averaged 29 minutes and 31.8 fantasy points in four games since the All-Star break.
Sylvia FowlesMINLA####32.86###32.74
The only thing holding back Sylvia Fowles is her playing time. She played 27 minutes Thursday after missing a game due to a knee injury and if she plays 27 minutes again, she should be a very nice value. Minnesota basically needs to win this game if they want to stay in the playoff race, and while I wouldn't want to bank on that for cash games, Fowles is totally worth a shot for tournaments.
Nneka OgwumikeLAMIN####33.97###34.27
Her sister looks like a better value, but Nneka may be the safest forward on the entire slate. She has scored at least 32 fantasy points in 14 of her last 17 games. In three games without Liz Cambage, Nneka Ogwumike has averaged 37.8 fantasy points.
Queen EgboINDLV770021.27###22.03
Egbo is the closest thing we have to a trustable mid-priced forward on this slate. She has scored at least 21 fantasy points in three straight games, two of which were against Las Vegas. At the very least, her minutes should be safe.
Emily EngstlerINDLV500016.9###17.65
Engstler has played 15+ minutes in both games against Las Vegas, and she could play even more with Kelsey Mitchell out. Engslter would be a great play if she starts but even off the bench she looks like the best value forward on the slate.
Jonquel JonesCONCHI900032.52###32.09
Connecticut would move within one game of the top spot in the standings with a win, and there is a chance that pushes Jones to play more than 26 minutes for the first time in over a month. That game, perhaps not coincidentally, was against Chicago, when Jones scored 57.25 fantasy points in 37 minutes. Chicago's interior defense takes a huge hit with Candace Parker out and this is the cheapest Jones has been on DK all season.
