Winans was recalled and will take Charlie Morton’s place on the active roster after the veteran landed on the injured list with a finger injury. While in the majors, the 28-year-old posted a 4.50 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and 26/4 K/BB ratio over 22 innings. He’ll start Game 1 of the scheduled doubleheader against the Nationals on Sunday.

Braves placed RHP Charlie Morton on the 15-day injured list with right index finger inflammation.
Morton was lifted after one inning in Friday’s contest against the Nationals after feeling something in his finger while throwing his curveball. The 39-year-old underwent X-rays, which came back negative, but was scheduled to have an MRI on Saturday. With the move, Morton will be unavailable for the NLDS, unless he replaces an injured player, which is a huge blow to the heavily favored Atlanta ballclub.

C. DeLauter - CF
Guardians OF prospect Chase DeLauter will play in the Arizona Fall League this October.
DeLauter will extend his season and head to the desert to participate in the Arizona Fall League.
