Underdog Fantasy NHL Picks November 8th: The Tkachuk Brothers hit the ice to top their props!
Josh Wagner brings you top NHL picks and player props at Underdog Fantasy for November 8th.
Welcome into NHL player prop central for the season on Underdog Fantasy! Player props are becoming one of the hottest growing things in hockey over the past few seasons and I have definitely taken notice as it adds yet another layer to a great game experience. Throughout this season you will find picks offered on the Underdog site that I find the most appealing as there are many to choose from so that's why I'm here to help you sift through the options.
For today's slate, we have 3 games on tap around the NHL and plenty of options for player props! I have highlighted a set of 2 props that I will be following tonight that includes 2 players around the league for the Ottawa Senators and Florida Panthers! Good luck to everyone on the props tonight, let's win some cheddar!
NHL Underdog Fantasy Top Picks November 8
Brady Tkachuk, Ottawa Senators - HIGHER than 4.0 Shots On Goal
In small slates like today the stars come to the forefront and today Brady Tkachuk is prime for a big night. His props are continually inflated and for good reason as he is averaging 4.3 shots on goal per game this season. The line for today is an even 4 shots which is a fair number but given his play and matchup he is projected closer to 5 shots and that gives us an edge. He has topped this number in 4 of 10 games with 2 pushes but will play a Toronto Maple Leafs team that allows 31.25 shots per game. He will have his work cut out for him but I think he goes higher 4 shots tonight.
Matthew Tkachuk, Florida Panthers - HIGHER than 0.5 Assists
When you think about Matthew Tkachuk you think of a goal scorer but this season he has been dishing it out more than scoring himself! With 8 assists through 11 games the super star has a hit rate of 45% in higher than 0.5 assists which is darn good considering the competition the Panthers have played. Tonight they get the Washington Capitals who are older, slower and just not the same team they once were. Add to the fact that Tkachuk plays nearly 20 minutes a game and is on the top powerplay unit, he should have a great chance to top this prop line tonight.
