PrizePicks Prop Selections:
NiKo (G2) - Over 42.5 Kills vs. Natus Vincere (Maps 1-2) - 9:00 A.M. ET
Projected First Two Maps: Inferno & Nuke
- NiKo is currently the highest rated player at IEM Katowice 2022 with a 1.37 Rating across 13 maps played. He is averaging 0.91 kills per round during that time.
- On Inferno, NiKo has a 1.34 Rating with 0.84 kills per round across six maps played in 2022.
- On Nuke, NiKo has a 1.74 Rating with 1.09 kills per round across three maps played in 2022.
NiKo had one of his worst performances of the tournament against Virtus.pro on Friday with a 0.90 Rating and 0.62 kills per round across two maps played. Despite not playing to the best of his ability, NiKo is still the highest rated player at the event heading into the semi-finals. He has had at least 23 kills on nine out of the last 11 maps played at IEM Katowice 2022, and it would surprise me if he didn't bounce back on Saturday based on the elite level of consistency that he has shown in recent months. G2 added m0NESY & Aleksib since the last time that they faced NAVI, but the teams played Inferno & Nuke as the first two maps last time that they played, and NiKo managed a total of 58 kills on maps one and two, with both maps being highly competitive. NiKo's projection here may be lower than normal because G2 are the underdogs, but I think that they have a chance of winning in this spot, and NiKo would likely crush this total if G2 can win some rounds.
stavn (Heroic) - Over 39.5 Kills vs. FaZe (Maps 1-2) - 1:00 P.M. ET
Projected First Two Maps: Mirage & Inferno
- Stavn is currently the second highest rated player at IEM Katowice 2022 with a 1.35 Rating across seven maps played. He is averaging 0.83 kills per round during that time.
- On Mirage, stavn has a 1.23 Rating with 0.77 kills per round across three maps played in 2022.
- On Inferno, stavn has a 1.46 Rating with 0.88 kills per round across two maps played in 2022.
Stavn continues to be the most consistent player on Heroic, leading the team with a 1.21 Rating and 0.77 kills per round in the past three months. No other member of Heroic has above 0.68 kills per round during that time. He's proven himself on LAN, like at PGL Major Stockholm 2021, where he had a 1.15 Rating with 0.76 kills per round across 12 maps played. He was excellent during the Challengers Stage too with a 1.23 Rating and 0.80 kills per round across 10 maps played. The teams played two best-of-threes in the final months of 2021, and all four maps had at least 29 rounds with the closest result being 16-13. We should be able to expect another competitive series with the odds as a near pick 'em, which means stavn can easily hit the over in this spot.
