After Saturday’s win over the Rockets, Lakers coach Darvin Ham said Rui Hachimura (nasal fracture) was held out for precautionary reasons.

Hachimura, who has not appeared in a game since November 22, was cleared by team doctors to make his return on Saturday. However, Ham said the forward felt a little “iffy” after going through his pregame routine, so Hachimura wasn’t inserted into the game. The hope is that he’ll be good to go on Tuesday when the Lakers host the Suns. With Jarred Vanderbilt (heel) returning and playing 14 minutes, the frontcourt rotation behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis will get very crowded. That may be where fantasy managers should leave the bench options on the waiver wire until the competition sorts itself out.

Aaron Gordon (right heel strain) logged 33 minutes in Saturday’s 123-117 loss to Sacramento, scoring 17 points (8-of-13 FGs) with seven rebounds, three assists, one block, and one 3-pointer.

After missing four games with a strained right heel, Gordon played 33 minutes and looked relatively sharp in Sacramento. He’s ranked just inside the top 150 in 9-cat per-game value, a safe distance behind his Yahoo ADP of 116. But fantasy managers who have Gordon rostered shouldn’t be too concerned; as long as he remains relatively healthy, he has the skill set required to move up the rankings. Justin Holiday, who filled in for Gordon when he was injured, only played 12 minutes on Saturday and went scoreless while grabbing three rebounds.

M. Christie - SG

Max Christie came off the bench and contributed 12 points (4-of-7 FGs), seven rebounds, two assists and three 3-pointers against Houston on Saturday.

After starting the last few games for the Lakers, Christie was pushed to the bench in favor of Cam Reddish. However, he ended up playing more minutes than Reddish and was part of the lineup with the starters that closed out the game for the Lakers. Christie isn’t necessarily a player to consider for a roster spot in standard leagues, but the second year guard has played well so far when he’s gotten the opportunity. The Lakers are close to fully healthy now, yet he is still a large part of their rotation. He is worth keeping around in dynasty formats.

Anthony Davis recorded a double-double on Saturday with 27 points (10-of-22 FGs), 14 rebounds, three assists and five blocks in a 107-97 win over the Rockets.

The Rockets didn’t have many answers for AD in this game, and it showed in the box score. This was the third matchup between the teams, though Davis wasn’t available for the game that Houston won. In the two games that he has played, he is averaging 27 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, one steal and three blocks per game. Davis has been a top five player in fantasy basketball this season, and because he hasn’t missed many games, he is in the top three in total value. As long as he continues to stay healthy, he’ll be one of the best players in fantasy hoops.

A. Sengun - C

Alperen Sengun stuffed the stat sheet against the Lakers with 21 points (8-of-25 FGs), 13 rebounds, five assists, two steals, two blocks and three 3-pointers in a 107-97 loss on Saturday.

Though Sengun didn’t have a great night shooting the ball, he was still able to fill up the stat sheet in a big way. It was by far Sengun’s worst field goal percentage of the season, but he was still able to knock down a season-best three 3-pointers. Sengun has been a fifth round producer so far this season while averaging a lot of career-highs. He won’t have many nights where he shoots this poorly, so that shouldn’t be a concern moving forward. This was his first game shooting below 40% from the floor and just his fifth shooting below 50%.

N. Jokic - C

Nikola Jokic shot 13-of-23 from the field and 9-of-12 from the foul line in Saturday’s 123-117 loss to the Kings, scoring 36 points with 14 rebounds, 14 assists, two steals, one block, and one 3-pointer in 38 minutes.

Jokic has dished out 14 assists or more in each of Denver’s last three games, racking up a total of 45 with just three turnovers. He didn’t commit a single turnover in Sacramento, where the biggest issue for the Nuggets was the 3-pointer. The champs shot 6-of-25 from distance while the Kings were 16-of-34, outscoring Denver by a 48-18 margin. That’s a lot to overcome, even with an all-time great offensive talent to run the offense through. Reggie Jackson (20/1/8/1 with two 3-pointers) and Michael Porter Jr. (13/8/2/0/2 with one 3-pointer) combined to go 3-of-11 from deep on the night. Denver plays two games in Week 7, the first scheduled for Wednesday in Los Angeles against the Clippers.

Jabari Smith Jr. posted a full line on Saturday with 10 points (4-of-7 FGs), nine rebounds, three assists, two steals and three blocks against the Lakers.

Smith Jr. didn’t do much scoring in this game, but he was still able to contribute fantasy value across the board. Smith has been a top-100 player in 9-cat leagues this season, and that has jumped to the top-50 over the past two weeks. A lot of that comes from his efficient play and rebounding, but for a good defender, he hasn’t provided defensive stats consistently. That wasn’t the case in this game, which was a nice boost for fantasy managers. He’ll look to build off this performance against the Thunder on Wednesday.

M. Monk - SG

Malik Monk logged 28 minutes in Saturday’s 123-117 win over the Nuggets, scoring 26 points (9-of-14 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs) with three rebounds, four assists, two steals, and four 3-pointers.

With Keegan Murray (8/5/1 with two 3-pointers in 23 minutes) struggling to get going in his first game back from an SI joint injury, Monk picked up the slack in a big way. The 26 points are the most he’s scored in a game this season, and the four assists were also noteworthy. In the three games prior, Monk dished out a total of three. Also playing well was Kevin Juerter, who shot 6-of-10 from the field and finished with 17 points, six rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block, and four 3-pointers. Monk may come off the bench, but a player providing top-100 value should be rostered in more than 55% of Yahoo leagues, as he currently is.
