Time to start our research for NFL DFS Week 7! We're going to get a shorter-than-usual main slate this week with six teams on a bye and no games being played in London. I love a nice 10-game slate, especially when the late games are where all the action could be. The Kansas City Chiefs/Los Angeles Chargers game is going to be incredibly popular. But on top of all of that, there is so much other stuff to sift through, given the rash of NFL injuries we've seen. We've got a number of back-up quarterbacks and running backs who will be on the table and, hopefully, we can still get them at some discount prices. There's no reason to waste any time, so let's start breaking down the slate and figuring out who might be our favorite DFS plays this week.

As always, I would like to welcome all of our new subscribers. I'm still seeing a lot of new screen names in Discord and I see a ton of new sign-ups for the All-Pro package (which I LOVE), so before we fully dive in to the NFL DFS Week 7 Watch List, please allow me to welcome all of the new members of the Fantasy Alarm #FAmily. There are a lot of you and we thank you for joining. Now it's up to us to help you cash consistently on your NFL DFS action and we are psyched to make that happen. Since you are new to the Watch List, allow me to share some thoughts real quick:

“If you give a man a fish, he’ll eat for a day. If you teach a man to fish, he’ll eat for a lifetime.”

We take this adage to heart when it comes to playing NFL DFS. The Fantasy Alarm Playbook isn’t just about handing you a list of players and a lineup to use each week. It is designed to help you learn to be a better DFS player. It’s about teaching you the process used in selecting which players to scout and, eventually, which ones to use.

Therefore, we will begin each week with the Weekly NFL DFS Watch List which is designed to keep tabs on marquee names, chalk plays and, of course, the weekly bargains who may not see the same coverage and exposure. This piece will be continuously updated throughout the week, based on the most recent news and injuries, which means you may see a name or two removed as we get closer to Sunday kick-off. You may also see a few late-week additions who pique our interest for some reason too, and by the end of the week, this Watch List will eventually become your Playbook. Again, it’s about teaching you the process.

So what exactly did last week's Playbook deliver? As always, we like to check in to ensure we remain on the right path.

Scoring The Playbook Week 6

It was a pretty low-scoring week across the board, as you can tell by the scores for the Playbook's optimal lineups. We did a fine job identifying the running backs and wide receivers toy needed to use for this week, but, like most other DFS players, the quarterbacks and tight ends were a different story. My biggest gaffe was getting catfished by the allure of a points bonanza in the Seattle Seahawks/Cincinnati Bengals game. Geno Smith and Joe Burrow both looked bad this week and that, obviously, trickled down to their receivers. Someone might chime in about Logan Thomas or Zach Ertz and, while that's fair – neither performed well – the process was right. It was for my expectations of the Bengals and Seahawks as well, but it just didn't work out as I had hoped. These things happen and that's another reason why I tell you not to use my Example Lineups. If you did, you cashed in your 50/50s, but with Burrow, Smith and all their receivers all struggling, you were dead in the water for GPP tournaments. But again, let me remind you – NO ONE wins GPP contests every week. No one. If someone says they are, ask for transparency and check their losses too. For us, we dust ourselves off and move on.

Let's get to the NFL Week 7 DFS Watch List players!
