NFL Week 6 kicks off on Thursday Night Football with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs hosting Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos. The hope is that it somehow becomes an entertaining, watchable game, but for the sake of picking a winner, when Vegas throws you a minus-625 money line for the Chiefs to win, there’s really not much of a surprise coming. But this is actually looking like an interesting week, given the array of NFL injuries that have occurred. Can the Minnesota Vikings walk into Chicago to beat the Bears without Justin Jefferson? Will the Miami Dolphins ground game stumble without rookie De’Von Achane? And who is leading this backfield for the Arizona Cardinals now? We’ve dug deep into the match-ups and studied the betting lines, so let’s make out Confidence Pool picks for Week 6.

In an effort to help you with your pools, I will provide you with my picks each week. In addition to full game breakdowns I do for my own research, I will also use money lines which at least show you how Vegas and the books are leaning. Sometimes the lines offer you a clear-cut decision, but you also need to explore some of the intangibles of each match-up and maybe have more of a gut-feel as to what may happen in a particular game. That’s where ranking your predictions becomes so important.
