Week 4 Monday Night Football Seahawks vs Giants Predictions

Daniel Jones, New York Giants – HIGHER Than 34.5 Rushing Yards

If you backed Daniel Jones’ rushing yards last week, then you probably don’t want to go back to that well. Jones had only five yards on two attempts in the Week 3 loss to the 49ers, finishing well below his projected rushing line. Let’s count on a bounce-back rushing effort from the New York Giants quarterback for Monday Night Football. Though he was almost nonexistent on the ground last week, this is still one of the top dual-threat QBs in the NFL who had 708 rushing yards last year. Jones had 43 and 59 rushing yards in Weeks 1 and 2, respectively, and can return to that level of running production. Jones had at least 35 rushing yards in eight of 16 regular-season games last year, with 34 yards in another.

Saquon Barkley is questionable with his ankle injury and we’ll have to see if he suits up, but it seems doubtful to play. With Barkley out last week, the Giants’ rushing attack got shut down by the vaunted 49ers defense. Matt Breida and Gary Brightwell combined for just 22 yards on eight carries. If Barkley is out again, Jones must be more active in the running game. The Seahawks rush defense has been good this season, but it also hasn’t dealt with a dual-threat quarterback yet. These are the other three QBs that Seattle has faced so far: Matthew Stafford, Jared Goff, and Andy Dalton. None of them are as mobile as Jones and none are even a threat to break off long runs.

Kenneth Walker, Seattle Seahawks – HIGHER Than 0.5 Rush + Rec TDs

When considering which players can find the end zone tonight, Kenneth Walker has the shortest odds to score a TD at most sportsbooks. The Seattle Seahawks running back has scored two touchdowns in back-to-back games coming into tonight. Even though Zach Charbonnet has started to eat into Walker’s carries, the latter is still seeing the bulk of touches in the red zone and near the goal line. Yes, Charbonnet could impact Walker’s rushing yards or overall snap share. Still, Walker is the guy when Seattle gets down close.

The New York Giants defense has struggled to stop the run this season. The Giants are allowing 138 rushing yards per game through three weeks (6th-worst in FBS). Plus, all three opposing lead running backs have scored a TD against the Giants so far. Tony Pollard ran in two scores in Week 1, James Conner ran for 100+ yards and a TD in Week 2, and then Christian McCaffrey had 100+ total yards and a score last week. Expect Walker to follow suit and get into the end zone tonight. You can also look at his rushing yards line if you want more action on Walker.
