CBB DFS Top Guards

Matthew ClevelandFSUUNC870029.9700027.44
Cleveland returned from injury on Saturday and stepped right back into a high-usage role for Florida State. He went for 20 points, 27 DK, and hit the game-winning shot in a high-scoring matchup with Miami. We should see another uptempo, high total vs UNC tonight and Cleveland should fill up the stat sheet and be plenty involved offensively to anchor cash lineups. He’s averaging 31 DK over the past 10 games and can easily go for 40+ DFS points.
Caleb LoveUNCFSU790027.97720025.52
Both RJ Davis and Caleb Love are firmly in play tonight in the high total and easy matchup vs Florida St. You could realistically play both in the same lineup, but Love gets the slight nod if choosing between them. First off, he’s cheaper on both sites for similar DFS production but larger usage and shot rates in UNC’s offense. Love is also performing a bit better on the road than Davis this season. Still, you likely can't go wrong with either.
Adam FlaglerBAYOKST770028.86760026.57
Flagler would normally be a top guard option for DFS, but he gets an even bigger bump up tonight with Keyonte George out. We should see Flagler take on heavier offensive usage and shot volume as the main offensive catalyst without George. He’s already had high usage and shot rates, but the cash floor will be higher than usual tonight. Even on the road at Ok St, expect Flagler to be popular. He had 25 DK vs OkSt earlier this season and averages 16.5 PPG and 29 DK on the road this season.
Jaren HolmesISUWVU660024.1560022.15
A lot of the players in this West Virginia vs Iowa State matchup are GPP plays in a likely defensive battle. Holmes offers upside at his affordable price tags in the offensive catalyst role for the Cyclones. The senior guard hasn’t been particularly great for DFS recently, but he’s still taking a ton of shots and also went for 18 points and 34 DK vs West Virginia earlier this season. Holmes, like most Iowa St guys, shoots and plays better at home too.

Also Consider:

  • Hunter Maldonado – Wyoming (GPP)
  • RJ Davis – UNC (Cash)
  • Kenan Blackshear – Nevada (Cash/GPP)
  • LJ Cryer – Baylor (GPP)

CBB DFS Value Guards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Caleb AsberryOKSTBAY530017.14490015.44
As long as Avery Anderson remains out, Asberry will continue to be a solid value. The senior has double-digit points scored in five of the last seven games since entering the starting lineup with Anderson out. He also has at least 21 DK in four of those contests. Tonight’s matchup at home against a shaky Baylor defense should help Asberry return value again.
Brendan WenzelWYONEV520016.3
Since re-entering the Wyoming starting lineup, Wenzel has scored in double figures in four of six starts with at least 22 DK in three of those. He’s a tad tough to trust in cash, but we’ve seen the upside for 33 and 28 DK in two recent games. Wenzel’s three-point shooting gives him upside when he gets hot, making him an option in GPP or cash on this small slate (only on DK). There aren't many Wyoming players worth rostering but Wenzel is one of them.
Jalen WarleyFSUUNC500017.7510016.61
Warley is really affordable for a guy that just went for 35 DK on Saturday. Though he’s been a bit up and down for DFS recently, the upside for 25-30 DK is always there at his ceiling. That’s especially true in a high-scoring matchup at home tonight. The floor isn’t great for cash, but he can smash value tonight when he’s filling up the stat sheet like last game.
Langston LoveBAYOKST380012.11470011.22
With Keyonte George out tonight, Baylor will need Love to step up in the backcourt. He scored 11 points in 22 minutes on Saturday with George exiting early. Even if he comes off the bench, Love possesses the talent upside to smash value at his cheap prices on both sites. Dale Bonner might be the safer cash value, but Love should not be ignored either. He’s shown the ceiling for 25-30 DK at his best this season.
Dale BonnerBAYOKST340012.58450011.67
Just like Langston Love above, Dale Bonner will move into a bigger role for Baylor’s backcourt tonight with Keyonte George sidelined. We may see Bonner as the one who starts over Love, which should make him much more popular in cash and a near lock at his cheap prices. Bonner finished with 13 points, 22 DK, and a 28% usage rate over 20 minutes on Saturday after George went out. We saw Bonner start four games earlier this season when Adam Flagler and LJ Cryer were out and he had 23+ DK in three of those.

Also Consider:

  • Caleb Grill – Iowa State (GPP)
  • Chandler Jackson – Florida State (GPP)

CBB DFS Top Forwards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Armando BacotUNCFSU1040036.12880033.47
Bacot is in a tier by himself among the high-end forwards tonight, which will make him popular in all formats on the small slate. The UNC center wasn’t his best against Virginia on Saturday (understandable), but he should get back to his regular 35-40 DK production in an easier matchup vs Florida St tonight. Though Bacot is expensive, the lack of top forwards tonight makes it tough to fade him – unless you just pay down and spend up on guards.
Darrion WilliamsNEVWYO710024.68
Kenan Blackshear is also a top play for Nevada tonight, but there are some better guards in his price range on the DK slate. In the forward pool, though, Williams could end up being popular because of the lack of top-end bigs. The freshman isn’t usually the first, second, or third offensive option for Nevada, but he does fill up the stat sheet in multiple ways to be a great DFS play. He’s averaging a solid 26 DK over the past 10 games and has at least 28 DK in three of the last four.
Kalib BooneOKSTBAY670023.01650021.75
Boone’s recent game logs exemplify how much of a boom-or-bust GPP play he is for DFS. The Ok State big man has shown the upside for 30-40 DK at his best when he’s dominating offensively inside. Then again, there’s been some ugly dud outings in the past month. If Boone can stay out of foul trouble tonight, the GPP ceiling for a smash performance of 20+ points scored and 35 DK is there.
Pete NanceUNCFSU630022.61590020.65
Nance has taken a backseat in the UNC offense for much of this season, but he’s come on strong recently. The big man has 32 and 38 DK in the past two games with double-digit shot attempts in both and a much bigger involvement. This trend could continue tonight and until the end of the season since UNC won both of these past two games with Nance in a bigger role. On this small slate, he’s worth a hard look in GPPs at some affordable prices.

Also Consider:

  • Will Baker – Nevada (GPP)
  • Tre Mitchell – West Virginia (GPP)

CBB DFS Value Forwards

Cameron CorhenFSUUNC470014.48400013.56
There aren’t many trustworthy cash values at forward tonight, but Corhen presents a solid salary-saver at his cheap prices on both sites. The FSU big man has put up 20+ DK in four of the last seven games. He has that upside tonight if he can stay out of foul trouble because the Noles will need his size against Armando Bacot and Pete Nance. The 4k FD salary is really nice.
Puff JohnsonUNCFSU38009.9838009.38
North Carolina essentially runs a six-man rotation and Johnson is the main guy off the bench right now. Though he doesn’t do much offensively, there’s the chance at 15-20 DK in a higher-scoring matchup vs Florida St tonight. It’s tough to trust in cash, but the GPP upside is there at sub-4k prices on both sites. On a small slate, you have to be different somewhere and Johnson offers that potential – especially if Armando Bacot and/or Pete Nance get into foul trouble.
Flo ThambaBAYOKST370013.35420012.31
Thamba has been very inconsistent in real life and DFS this season, but he offers some GPP value upside tonight. First off, Baylor will need his size and post-defense to combat Kalib Boone and Moussa Cisse for Oklahoma State. That alone may keep him on the floor more often, barring any foul trouble. Keyonte George’s absence tonight may force Baylor to go big at times too. Thamba just had a double-double with 25 DK on Saturday and has the ceiling to do it again here.

Also Consider:

  • Tre Coleman – Nevada (GPP)
  • Hunter Thompson – Wyoming (GPP)
